Conversion of Z-drives for Keere Marine

Egyptian company Keere Marine transports goods on the Nile on behalf of UNHCR. Often on very low water, which always caused a lot of blows to the propeller and other damage to the mechanical propellers that they used until recently.

Keere bought a second vessel, which we fitted with Hydro-Armor rudder propellers. These thrusters proved capable of withstanding the extreme conditions. Reason enough to convert another ship that also always sustains a lot of damage with two conventional drive units to Hydro-Armor.

“With our mechanical propellers, at any given moment more often than not we were carrying out repairs rather than actually sailing. Practice has taught us that Hydro-Armor is the only rudder propeller that can cope under these tough conditions.” Geoff Ellis, Keere Marine
